Throughout this whole auto industry crisis and potential bailout drama, not a lot has been said in the news about what the owners of dealerships are experiencing.
This is their business and it’s their American dream. For a lot of car dealership owners, they’re watching their dream go down the tubes. They’re laying off their salespeople, office staff and anyone else they don’t need on payroll.
They can’t sell enough cars to make a profit, they can’t find financing for the few customers who walk through the door and they have lots full of cars that deteriorate and lose value as they sit there longer and longer.
Check out this great story on CNNMoney.com about what four different car dealership owners are dealing with and how this entire auto industry crisis affects them.
